This café x flower shop is located at 1020 St Clair Ave W, at the intersection of St Clair W & Oakwood. The shop is open Tuesday-Saturday from 8am-4pm.
ATMOSPHERE
May Flowers is definitely a flower shop first and a coffee shop second, so you won’t find your typical café set-up here. But don’t let that discourage you from visiting if you’re big on atmosphere: the shop is brimming with flowers and plants, so you’re surrounded by beauty at every turn.
Another fun addition to the shop? They have a great music playlist. When I visited, they were playing early 2000’s pop hits like NSYNC’s Bye Bye Bye; it truly elevated the experience even more.
There is no indoor seating but there are a couple chairs/tables outside. However, given the limited space, I wouldn’t rely on finding a seat while there. For coffee, the shop is definitely more of a to-go place.
MENU
May Flowers has a decently sized drink menu with a range of espresso and tea based beverages ranging from $3-$5.50. The café’s extensive tea menu is especially impressive. The café also offers unique items like Vietnamese slow drip, rose cardamom black tea lattes, and lavender lattes.
I ordered the lavender latte on my visit (it felt fitting), and it was really well done. The flavour was subtle and not overpowering like lavender lattes I’ve had in the past. This is probably due to their use of real lavender which May Flowers also sells in-store.
Other things you should know: they don’t serve standard drip coffee, iced drinks & alternative milks cost $0.50 extra, and the shop uses biodegradable cups.
As for food, the menu is limited. You can expect a small selection of baked goods like croissants or cookies, as well as artisan chocolate bars.
SHOP
May Flowers focuses on local and fair-trade flowers. They specialize in customized floral arrangements which are designed by in-house florists. At the shop or online, you can order hand-tied flowers, vase arrangements, subscription services (they even have a monthly bouquet + coffee subscription!), seasonal collections, and more.
The shop also sells a range of plants. A few are available online, but I would recommend visiting them in store for a wider variety, including smaller plants.

On top of their array of flowers and plants, the shop also sells artisan goods from a range of local vendors, including soap, candles, cards, and jewellery. Some brands include Ghlee, Shy Wolf Candles, Buck Naked, and Party Mountain Paper Co.
